As you embark on your 4-day adventure through the mountains and lush jungle, you will feel complete freedom. The trek will begin in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, in the small community of Piscacucho located just 2 and a half hours from Cusco. On the way you will appreciate some interesting archaeological sites such as Llaqtapata. Then, you will reach the highest point of the tour, “the dead woman’s pass”, before descending into the tropical jungle is the wonderful Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.

You will also stop at other fascinating archaeological sites Runturakay Sayaqmarka, Phoyupatamarka, Intypata, Wiñay Wayna and Inti Punku or Puerta del Sol.
And to close the last day with a flourish, you will enter Machu Picchu through the Puerta del Sol, which can only be done by those who choose to walk the Inca Trail. We will start in Cusco until we reach the starting point of the trek making different stops at prominent points of the route such as viewpoints, beautiful scenery until we reach the Inca Trail checkpoint at km 82. We will begin the legendary Inca Trail trek exploring and knowing places wrapped in mystery and scenic beauty.

This day will be the most challenging because we will reach the highest point called “Paso de la Mujer Muerta” (Warmi Wañusca), to enjoy wonderful views around it. Visit archaeological sites and marvel at the Andean sky at night.

Live firsthand the magical change of the environment as you enter the thickness of the cloud forest and visit the impressive archaeological site of Wiñay Wayna and spend the night.

Triumphantly we will arrive to Puerta del Sol (Inti Punku) and from there you will have an incomparable view of the lost city of the Incas Machu Picchu. Later take the train back to Cusco.



We will start very early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco between 4:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. or Urubamba between 5:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. in private transport that will take us to kilometer 82, where we will arrive at approximately 11:00 a.m. and from there we will begin the walk of our lives. On this first day we will enjoy the first kilometers because they are easy to walk. We will have an impressive view of the great snowy Verónica or also known as “Wakay Willka” Quechua word that means “sacred crying”.

IMPORTANT: Bring original passport to be able to enter and do the Inca Trail. Do not forget it!

We will also appreciate the great Vilcanota River or Rio Sagrado up close until we reach the first archaeological complex of Llactapata, where we will have an exquisite and well-deserved lunch prepared in the middle of the mountains and then we will continue walking for about 3 hours until we reach our campsite in Wayllabamba. around 5:00 p.m. where we will spend the night after a fortifying dinner.

We will wake up early with an energizing Coca tea, considered sacred since ancient times. After breakfast we will start with the most challenging trek of the four days, where we will walk to the highest point of the Inca Trail sector called Warmi Wañuska” which means “Pass of the Dead Woman” (4,215 m.s.n.m / 13,829 ft).

This point you will have an incredible view of a forested valley where there are many microclimates and we will go back in time to feel closely the Andean cosmovivencia that lived in complete harmony with nature. After this wonderful experience we will have lunch and then continue descending for an hour and a half until we reach Pacaymayo where we will have lunch and then we continue for about 45 more minutes until we reach Runkurakay where we will have time to explore the place and marvel at its beautiful waterfalls very much alive and then we continue for another 45 minutes to Runkurakay Pass where we will take advantage of the last views of the Andes and place where we will make a small offering with Coca leaf as a reason to thank for the place.

Once we start the walk back to Sayacmarka, a place that is a bit inaccessible but worth visiting.

Then continue for the last 20 minutes until you reach our second camp at Chaquiqocha (3,600 m.s.n.m. / 11,811 ft.).

After a good rest from the previous walk, we will have a fortifying breakfast in the morning to then begin the one and a half hour walk through the amazing jungle full of vegetation and life of Flora and Fauna that welcomes us and also have a Spectacular view of the great snow-capped Salkantay, considered the second most important in Cusco.

Then we will make the last walk up to the top of Phuyupatamarka (3,650 m.s.n.m / 11,975 feet). Then we will begin to descend for about 2 hours and a half to the Intipampa area “Planicie del Sol”. From where we will have an impressive view of the Great Sacred Valley and through the middle in the form of a snake in the imposing Vilcanota River or Sacred River.

After about 25 minutes of walking we will arrive at our last camp around 1:00 p.m. where we will have a delicious lunch and at about 4:00 p.m. We will go to Wiñay Wayna “Siempre Joven” which is very close to the camp to enjoy a guided tour where we will remember the life of the Incas in these places full of life.

To later return to the camp where a very emotional moment awaits us and it is the celebration of having achieved it together with the conineros and porters and it will be a good moment to give them a special thank you for the hard work they do because they will only accompany us until the day of today. Finally we will have dinner and spend the night for the big day tomorrow.

Today we will start very early in the morning at 3:30 a.m. approximately to be able to arrive on time at the Sun Gate at 4:00 a.m. and we will provide a Box Lunch that is on the way. We will be one of the first groups to arrive at the control gate and walk for an hour to the Inti Punku “Puerta del Sol” from where we will have the first views of the expected Machu Picchu where we will triumphantly enter this sacred place of the Incas.

We will have a guided tour of 1 hour and a half with our guide who will take us through the most outstanding sectors of Machu Picchu.

After making the visit inside Machu Picchu, you can go to the Wayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain if you have the tickets or otherwise you would be returning on the tourist buses to the town of Aguas Calientes and you will have time to have lunch in a restaurant of your choice to Afterwards, take your tourist train back to Ollantaytambo and the city of Cusco where we will leave you at the door of your accommodation.

Extras and updates

Huayna Picchu Mountain:

Huayna Picchu is the mountain that is next to Machu Picchu. It’s a 45 minute hike to the top. Note that going back down is quite steep. So if you have a fear of heights, this may not be a hike you enjoy. You would do this after your Machu Picchu tour and there is an additional fee. Arrangements must be made at least a month or two in advance due to popularity.

You can access this service for an additional payment of US$ 60.00 per person.
