Your fun day out of the city begins when we pick you up from your hotel in Cusco around 8:00 am. We will leave for the small town of Chinchero. The journey takes just over an hour and is a beautiful drive through the mountains giving you the most spectacular views. You will discover immense snow-capped mountains, vast cornfields and beautiful towns. We will go to Moray without first making a brief stop in Chinchero (optional).

When we arrive, you will enjoy a demonstration of handmade textiles by the local women. They are experts in the art, and it is a tradition that has existed for hundreds of years with totally natural dyes.

Soon we will be on our way again and we will take our transport to Moray. You will surely be surprised by the unique formation of the place that many compare to an amphitheater or even something extraterrestrial. However, it was actually a gigantic Inca agricultural laboratory. Your guide will fill you in on the history of the site, and you’ll have plenty of time to explore and take some photos.

Close by and often combined with a trip to Moray are the Salineras de Maras. It’s only another 3 km away and will amaze you once again with views you’ve probably never seen before. The place has produced salt since ancient times and there are more than 3,000 salt pools that are filled daily with groundwater.

Now it is time for lunch, our guide will provide you with varieties of options for your lunch. After lunch, 30 minutes away, we will arrive at Pachar where the ascent to the capsules begins and spend the night in this wonderful Hotel.

We will receive a safety talk, then the equipment will be delivered and the ascent will begin through an Intrepid walk.
