PROGRAM SUMMARY
DAY 01: ARRIVAL AIRPORT / CUSCO / CITY TOUR / CUSCO
On your first day we will pick you up from the airport and in the afternoon we will do the City Tour where we will visit Qoricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pukapukara and Tambomachay.

DAY 02: CUSCO / SACRED VALLEY / AGUAS CALIENTES
This day we will visit Pisac and its traditional market then after lunch we will go to Ollantaytambo to board the train to Aguas Calientes.

DAY 03: AGUAS CALIENTES / MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO
We will get up early to visit the hidden jewel of the Incas Machu Picchu and in the afternoon return to Cusco.

DAY 04: CUSCO / MARAS AND MORAY / CUSCO
Today we’ll have a great experience visiting the Salty Mines of Maras, Moray Ruin and Chinchero in a half day.

DAY 05: CUSCO / RAINBOW MOUNTAIN / CUSCO
This day we will get up early to visit one of the most visited attractions in Peru “The beautiful “Rainbow Mountain”.

DAY 06: CUSCO / TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT

Itinerary

DAY 1.- CITY TOUR (CATHEDRAL, QORICANCHA, SACSAYHUMAN, QENQO, PUCA PUCARA, TAMBOMACHAY).

Our adventure begins with pickup from the airport or bus station in Cusco, then transfer to the hotel in Cusco and have the day free to acclimatize to the city’s altitude (3,400 m / 11,154 Feet).
(We recommend that your flight to Cusco be in the morning or a day before).

CITY TOUR IN CUSCO

In the afternoon we will take the city tour in Cusco as acclimatization, we will pick you up at your hotel at 12:50 p.m. and then head to the Plaza Mayor of Cusco, where we will begin the tour. The first place to visit will be the Qoricancha, known as “The Solar Temple”, the most important in Tawantinsuyo, then we will go in our mobility to the upper part of the city to visit Sacsayhuaman, the great Inca fortress where we will be surprised by the gigantic cyclopean-shaped walls. . of boluartes, then we will take the opportunity to visit the beautiful eucalyptus forest in Qenqo and we will also take the opportunity to visit the Cristo Blanco viewpoint, a place where we will have spectacular views of the city of Cusco, then we will go to Pukapukara. and the last point of visit will be Tambomachay known as the “Temple dedicated to Water”.

Finally we will return to Cusco around 6:00 p.m, where we will leave you near the Plaza Mayor of Cusco, where you can take advantage of dinner and then go to rest for the next day’s tour.

DAY 2: CUSCO / TARAY VIEW POINT / PISAC / OLLANTAYTAMBO / AGUAS CALIENTES

Our tour will begin with the pick-up from your hotel in Cusco between 7:10 to 7:30 a.m., where our private tourist transport will pick you up, and then we will go to our first point of visit, which will be Pisac, but before that we will make a short stop. at the Taray viewpoint, where we can appreciate the magnificent landscapes of the Sacred Valley of the Inkas.

Once in Pisac, we can visit its archaeological center: full of history wherever you can see it, its terraces are finely and harmoniously built on the great mountains, its temples perfectly aligned to the stars in the firmament. And of course its craft market.

It will surprise you!

Then we will cross the valley until we reach the town of Urubamba, where we will stop for lunch in a renowned tourist restaurant, trying different types of dishes and unique flavors that only an excellent restaurant can offer us.

After having enjoyed lunch, we will continue visiting the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo, a place that stands out for its innumerable mysteries in its constructions.

The last point of visit will be Chinchero, known as the “Rainbow City”, where its impressive Inka archaeological remains and its colonial Church of “Nuestra Señora de Monzerrat” stand out, and then we will take advantage of the time to visit a traditional house where we will learn about of the manufacturing process of Andean textiles.

At the end of our visit in Chinchero, we will return to Cusco, where our transport will leave you at your respective hotel.

DAY 3.- MACHUPICCHU - AGUAS CALIENTES - CUSCO

The big day has arrived!

We will visit the Llaqta de Machu Picchu and we will start getting up early, have breakfast and then go with our guide to the bus station which will take us to the entrance of Machu Picchu on a 30-minute trip up the mountain, upon arrival
We will triumphantly enter the citadel of Machu Picchu and have a guided tour with a Private Guide that will make you live a better experience for 2 hours, visiting the most important sectors such as the Guardian House, The Temple of the 3 Windows, The Sacred Plaza, Intiwatana and more…

After the visit in Machu Picchu we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes to have lunch and in the afternoon return by train to Ollantaytambo and finally to the city of Cusco, leaving you at the door of your accommodation.

DAY 4: CUSCO / MARAS TOWN / SALT MINES OF MARAS / MORAY / CUSCO

We will start early in the morning with the pick up from the hotel at 8:00 am. approximately to start the adventure.

On the way we will appreciate beautiful landscapes surrounded by beautiful glaciers. The Tour begins in the city of Cusco and then we will pass through the town of Maras where we can see its streets and its colonial-style Portadas.

We will visit the experimental agricultural terraces of Moray, they are a set of circular agricultural terraces that are up to 150 m deep, built on natural hills. According to historians, they were an Inca agricultural laboratory, they have irrigation channels and each level constitutes a microclimate. The average annual temperature between the high part and the deep part varies up to 15ºC.

Finally we will visit the Salineras de Maras, this impressive place has 2000 salt wells, currently these mines continue to be exploited by local families.

At the end of this visit, we will return to the city of Cusco, where our tourist transport will leave us in the center of the city or if it is in private service, we will end up at your hotel around 1:00 p.m.

DAY 5: CUSCO / CUSIPATA / PHULAWASIPATA / RAINBOW MOUNTAIN / CUSIPATA / CUSCO

The Rainbow Mountain, also known as Vinicunca or Winicunca. It is one of the most visited natural places in Peru, our Rainbow Mountain Tour through Cusipata begins with the pick up from 04:20 am – 5:00 am depending on the location of your accommodation in Cusco, once everyone is in the vehicle we We will go to the south of the city of Cusco, the trip will be approximately 2 hours to Cusipata, place of our breakfast, then we will continue for another hour of travel in the minivan, where we will be able to observe llamas, alpacas and local people. by the way.

DAY 6: RETURN TO YOUR HOTEL

This last day in Cusco, you can take advantage of the morning to rest or choose to take a walk through the city where we will visit the main squares, streets, markets in Cusco. To finally This last day after a delicious breakfast you will have the rest of the morning free to relax or go for a walk. Recommendations

  • The first thing you need to do is buy your Ticket to Machu Picchu and your train tickets in advance. Especially if the visit is made in high season (May – September).
  • Do not forget to carry your identity document in your luggage, either; passport, university student card or DNI.
  • To board the train you must be at the station 30 minutes before departure time, and present your ticket and identification document. Otherwise, you will not be able to board the train.
  • It is important to have cash in soles (Peruvian currency) and dollars, in small denominations, because most places in Aguas Calientes do not accept cards. However, you will find quite a few ATMs in the city of Cusco, Ollantaytambo and Aguas Calientes.
  • The visiting hours to Machu Picchu most frequented by tourists is between 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Therefore, it is recommended to go up to the Inca City in the early morning or in the afternoon so that you can enjoy your tour with peace of mind.
