Itinerary

DAY 1: CUSCO - CHINCHERO - MARAS SALT MINES - MORAY - OLLANTAYTAMBO

Your adventure with our Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu tour begins with a warm greeting and pickup from your hotel at 7:30 a.m. approximately. Together we will head towards the Sacred Valley, where we will make our first stop in Chinchero, one of the most popular towns in the region, famous for its rich textile history. There we will learn about their ancestral techniques and their colorful customs.

After this enriching visit, we will continue our trip to Pisac. Along the way, we will stop at the Mirador de Taray to capture impressive photographs of the valley that spreads out below us. Upon arriving in Pisac, we will be amazed by the grandeur of its agricultural terraces, which are still preserved on the slopes of the mountains, a legacy of Inca engineering.

To recharge our batteries and continue our tour, we will head to Urubamba, where we will have the opportunity to delight in a delicious lunch of typical dishes from the region. We will savor the fresh ingredients and the unique seasoning of Peruvian cuisine.

With a full stomach and renewed spirit, we will head to Ollantaytambo, an imposing Inca fortress known for its monumental terraces, temples, and ceremonial water fountains. We will walk through its passageways and admire the majesty of this citadel, feeling the connection with the past and the greatness of the Inca Empire.

From Ollantaytambo, we will take a train that will take us on a picturesque trip of approximately 2 hours to the town of Machu Picchu, also known as Aguas Calientes. During the journey, we will enjoy the beauty of the Andean landscape and we will say goodbye to the Sacred Valley with a heart full of pleasant memories.

Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, our attentive staff will be waiting to accompany you to your hotel, where you can settle in and enjoy a well-deserved rest. You can use the remaining time to visit the surroundings of the town or simply relax and prepare for the exciting experience that awaits you the next day: a visit to the citadel of Machu Picchu.
