TRAVEL ITINERARY
Día 1: Cusco / Chinchero / Moray / Salt Mines Maras / Ollantaytambo / Pisac / Cusco
- Between 6:00 a.m. and 6:30 a.m., our staff with a warm greeting will come for you to pick you up from your hotel to take you to our transportation.
- We will begin our trip by visiting the picturesque town of Chinchero, where we can appreciate the agricultural platforms, the vestiges of the royal estate of Túpac Inca Yupanqui and the beautiful colonial temple built on the bases of an Inca building. In addition, we will have the opportunity to observe the complete wool process, from washing and spinning to its transformation into colorful textiles.
- Then, we will head to Moray, where we will witness fascinating circular platforms that were used as agricultural experimentation terraces by the Incas.
- Later, we will continue our journey to the Salineras de Maras, an impressive natural landscape where we will observe the ancestral process of salt extraction, a practice that dates back to Inca times.
- Later, we will head towards the majestic Ollantaytambo Fortress, an Inca citadel built with extraordinary precision. This imposing masterpiece of Inca architecture was erected to guard the access to this region of the valley and protect it from invasions from the jungle.
- At the end of the visit to the fortress, we will head to the town of Urubamba, where we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at a local restaurant.
- After lunch, we will go to the town of Pisac, where we will visit the impressive Pisac Archaeological Complex, an Inca citadel built during the reign of Pachacutec. Its strategic location on the top of a mountain allows it to offer an impressive panoramic view of the sacred valley that formerly led to Antisuyo.
- At the end of the tour of Pisac, we will begin the trip back to the city of Cusco, where we will arrive at approximately 7:00 p.m.

Travel Guide
These are some tourist attractions of the city of Cusco that are not included in the City Tour:
The Stone of the 12 angles – A famous stone that fits perfectly in its twelve corners with the immense rock wall that belonged to the palace of Inca Roca. It is located on Hatun Rumiyoc Street, a few steps from the Plaza de Armas. Because it is in the middle of the street, the visit is free.
The Machupicchu de la Casa Concha museum – A museum inside a colonial house where some of the pieces found in Machu Picchu in 1911 are exhibited, which were returned by Yale University in the United States between 2010 and 2012. It is a few steps away from the Plaza de Armas.
The Church of the Society of Jesus – A beautiful and imposing baroque-style colonial church located in the Plaza de Armas of Cusco. Its interior presents objects made of silver and gold used in religious rites. It also highlights its collection of paintings from the ‘Cusco School’ of painting.
The temple of the moon – It is a mysterious Inca building carved inside a cave. Light filters through its cracks making it seem like a mystical place. It is also known as the ‘Temple of Fertility’. It is near Sacsayhuaman, on the outskirts of the city.
