Our one day adventure starts very early. We will pass by your accommodation to pick you up at 4:00 am. Then we will make a two and a half hour trip to the town of Marcaconga. We will continue to the Pitumarca district to enjoy our tasty breakfast.
Once we’re full and ready to go, we have a final thirty-minute drive down an unpaved road to reach our trek starting point. You will have a little time to collect your things before leaving.

The first section lasts two and a half hours, and you will be able to observe magnificent landscapes dotted with small glacial lakes along the way.

Next, we will descend for about forty minutes on a steep path along the edge of the cliff to the site itself while the Apurímac River flows rapidly below. You will be able to tour the archaeological site for about an hour and a half, climb the remains of the temple and take photos in front of the incredible landscape of the canyon.
